Sunday Pause (Paws): The Little Things

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and enjoy the little things.

What are “the little things?” They are having a cup of tea, talking to a friend on the phone, spending time with your pet, lighting & enjoying a scented candle…wait a minute. These are not little things at all, rather they are the big things.

I have to admit I was having a hard time figuring out this Sunday’s post because all I had was one little photo. I was trying to figure out how I could make a post out of this one little photo. But then I realized this isn’t just one little photo, it’s an amazing photo! It is not something you see every day, some may never see one.

My mom saw this albino squirrel on her front steps. She ran to get her camera and it was even kind enough to stay and pose while she took the picture. Not only is seeing an albino squirrel rare, but this squirrel was looking right at her, was standing up, and was eating from its little paws. I really meant it when I said this little guy posed for the perfect photo. (She sent it to me so I could use it. I enhanced and edited it).

The little things big things that came from this one little photo are:

  • my mom’s kindness for thinking of me
  • what turned out to be an amazing photo that I can share and enjoy for years
  • I was able to make a post out of one little photo after all
  • I realized these are not little things

These are the things that matter.
