Winter Is Here

We have had the nicest weather. Autumn has been gorgeous, the temperature has remained warm and comfortable for this time of year, in fact yesterday it was in the 50’s, and there has been no sign of snow. All of that changed today.

It was only in the 20’s for a high today and “feels like” -5 degrees with the windchill. Brrr!!!

Not only did the temperature drop dramatically but there was rain which turned into ice and then snow on top of it. Last I heard, and this was before the evening rush hour commute, there had been around 450 accidents/spin outs.

So winter has surely arrived in my neck of the woods. How about yours?

Aside of the cold and the driving hazards, snow can be absolutely beautiful! I took the picture above today out my back deck.

The picture below was taken by a friend of mine and edited by me.

I love your graphics, LeeAnn! Our winter is still flirting, but soon it will probably snow some. The super-moon last night was gorgeous. Our seasonal weather varies fairly constantly. Technically we’re in “cold semi-arid steppe” country. We have hot summers and cold winters, beautiful warm-to-crisp autumns, and fairly rainy, cool springs.

Love your Scripture quote, LeeAnn. And about the snow … everyone was in a frenzy here all because the weathermen again forecasted dire circumstances with snow up to 3 feet. This morning? A mere dusting and the sun is peeking out. Seriously? Your first photo is gorgeous! Stay warm! 💝

It has been strange weather, indeed, this late autumn season. It got colder (40F) today, with snow forecast for Saturday, but probably only a dusting here in SE TN. Lovely photos.
