It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, grab a cup of coffee or tea, and take flight with a butterfly.
BUTTERFLY WINGS
Oh you beautiful butterfly
Those wings can take you oh so high
Oh to have those butterfly wings
Oh what joy they must bring
Oh butterfly with wings so great
Can you fly beyond the golden gate?
Please find my dear beloved sis
And give her a big butterfly kiss
Then can you fly to all the farms
And let the animals feel loving arms?
Then fly to a shelter and calm the nerves
Of all the animals without a home they deserve?
Can you stop by those who have a home
But are mistreated and all alone?
For a while will you stop and play
To bring some joy to their day?
Those left in scorching heat can you please
Let your fluttering wings be their cool breeze?
For the ones always left on a chain
Let your wings be their freedom to keep them sane
For those forced to do tricks without a say
On your wings will you carry their sadness away?
And those who have no choice but to fight
Can you take away their fear in your flight?
For all the ones who lost track
With your wings can you lead them back?
Will you land right on their shoulder
And comfort the ones getting older?
On your great journey through the sky
Can you please be sure to stop on by
To wipe away all the people’s tears
Who are helping animals through their years?
Oh butterfly you are so many things
A little angel with beautiful wings
Who can be a messenger to let all know
How the savior does love them so
Oh butterfly then you can land
Right here on my very own hand
To wait to hear from him, the one
“My beloved butterfly, job well done”

The picture of the butterfly on the hand is from where I work. The children looked after him since he was larva and just released him this past week.
