Sunday Pause (Paws): Cino’s Prayer

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and how about saying a prayer.

I made a new cartoon image of Cino. Since our goal with this blog is to advocate for animals I thought I would introduce the image with Cino in prayer.

That’s exactly what I want…no more abuse! Unfortunately, that may not happen in this life, but that shouldn’t stop us. We can’t make this world perfect, we can only try to make it better. We shouldn’t throw our hands up in the air or put our heads in the sand when it comes to anything we know is wrong.

All animals are God’s creation as we are and I have no doubt that he is mourning with us over how they are being treated. I believe with all my heart that he doesn’t want us to give up or ignore this. Hopefully you’ll join in on Cino’s prayer.

A world with no more abuse
I can’t wait for that day
Until then I’ll keep on fighting
On my knees for them I’ll pray

How do you like the cartoon of Cino? I’ll be using it for posts often. The three things I found I am interested in creatively are writing poetry, taking photos, and making cartoon/images. I find I enjoy these things more than writing the posts themselves. I often have many thoughts running around my head that I could write about such as the dumb circus that uses animals coming to my town next weekend. My heart aches for those animals. But I find I have a much harder time writing those posts than I used to. If I allow my mind to go too deep into what’s happening to animals it’s hard to climb back out of that dark place. This has been a struggle for me since my sister passed away unexpectedly. So I will continue to advocate this way (creatively) for now. I hope you still enjoy my posts and know that my mission will never change.

    Looks kinda like a Power Puff kitty! Super crazy! My prayers are with you n Cino. I’m working on an awareness post too…but like you…I get angry and too invested.     LOVE LOVE LOVE your cartoon! And your blog. I understand, it gets hard to come back from that dark place, you said it so well, when we “go too deep into what’s happening to animals it’s hard to climb back out of that dark place.” It truly is. So I love how you focus on positives, encourage positives without burying our heads in the sand about it the abuse, and to press on making a difference and changing what we can.
