Sunday Pause (Paws): For Change

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and sometimes in our lives…embrace change.

This has been a tough week/weekend for me because our time is coming to an end in our current home. I didn’t think I would feel so emotional. I’m really concerned about how Cino will do with this move, although in time I know she will get adjusted, as I will. Change can be exciting but it also can be scary.

With moving day very near I don’t have a lot of time to write this post. We’re buried in boxes but we wanted to peek in and say HI!

Happy Sunday!

We can make a change for the future of animals…

Another change for us is we are now on Instagram. Hope to see you there!

I have moved many times with my cats without mishap; they adapt beautifully. Gee, our cats even travel with us on vacation with our camper (although they do not go outside without a leash). I would keep them in the house for a few weeks or months in the new place until I was sure that they knew the new place was home. I wouldn’t let them out too soon. I’ll bet Chino will adapt without a problem; she’ll love all those boxes when they’re empty!

as long as YOU are fine…Cino will be fine. If YOU are stressed, Cino will be stressed. I moved out of state with my former cat and he did quite well……then within a year we moved again and he was fine (and he was a senior kitty at that time), actually before we moved out of state we moved maybe 3 times before that. Cats are more resilient than we are (wink)

Wish you all good luck with your move, LeeAnn 🙂
When you move, at the day, prepare a room for Cino with food and water in one side of the room and a litter box in the other side plus a place to feel safe and well known like a crate or cave etc. Then close that room until your move is ended. By experience of many moves with my cats, this has worked every time and in the days after, Cino will find safety in that room.

Your intuition regarding a move can sometimes be incorrect; or, on the other hand, it could bring about a perfect change for all of you. Give the concept time to manifest your destiny! Go forward with your plan, LeeAnn! I think you and your cats will synchronize your sensibilities from all sides–you and your cats.
