So far I have done Tuesday Tales about animals I find on the web, about my cat Cino, and about people I know and their pet stories. NOW I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

A lot of you have your own blog about your pet, so I understand you are already telling the story of your pet. But by sharing it with me, you may gain some new exposure and, quite frankly, you would really be helping me out. A lot of bloggers view posts, but do not necessarily participate, perhaps because your own blog is keeping you busy. Or maybe you’re thinking somebody else will participate so you are not needed. You are needed!! I love hearing about your stories too! It’s important for bloggers to connect and animal lovers!

I am not asking for a lot of your time, you don’t have to share much. You could share just one paragraph that sums up the story of your pet. But if you prefer, it can be longer than a paragraph. Share as much or as little as you would like. It would be great to have a picture of them to go along with the paragraph too.

What I will do is include the paragraph and photo you send me in one of my Tuesday Tales along with others. I will include a link back to your blog as well.

Did you rescue your pet? Or did your pet rescue you? You can talk about how you met your pet, a challenge you have gone through with them, a favorite thing you like to do with them, what you love about them…the possibilities are endless. Write about whatever you want and please send it to animalsarefeelingbeingstoo@q.com. Don’t worry, I will not share your email address and I will not pester you with emails. I will contact you only if I have a question about what you shared.

Here are summaries of some of the stories I have shared in my Tuesday Tales with a link to the original post if you are interested in reading the full tale. These particular tales are pets of people I know. These summaries are examples of what I would like to share about your pet.

From the story of Cino & I: The Day We Met.

I found “Muffy” on the Humane Society website. When I met her she was very shy, wouldn’t look at me, and kept looking up. At one point, she finally stopped looking around and up and looked right at me and meowed. That was all it took! She was coming home with me. I changed her name to “Cino.” We had some challenges in the beginning. She was sick and my apartment manager wanted me to get her back claws declawed. (I have a post about declawing too since this brought up a few concerned comments) Cino wouldn’t come out of the bathroom for the first week. It took her a while to become comfortable with her new surroundings. It is now six and half years later and we are happy as can be!

From the story of Jack.

Jack was found in a dumpster at a grade school boy’s apartment building. He carried Jack all the way to school and told his teacher. They kept him at the school for the day, then a teacher took him home with her until they could find a home for him. A relative of one of the teacher’s went to meet him, but he said “only to look at him.” They would not take him home that night, they would need to think about it. Well Jack had a different idea and when he was let out of the kennel he ran right up to him. That was all it took. Jack had found a home! Other than being a little dirty, malnourished and a few ear mites, he was in good condition and is loving his new forever home!

From the story of Two Dogs Who Made it Through A Fire.

Niko and Chloe were home alone when a fire started in their basement by a dehumidifier. When the husband came home he was in shock from seeing nothing but a sheet of black in front of him when he opened the door. He couldn’t see a thing. The neighbor ran in and opened all of the doors to the rooms in search of the two dogs. They came running out and into the yard. (The one pictured on the right, Niko, is actually a white dog). Both of them needed to spend a few days at the animal hospital, but they are fine now. The family had to move out of the house. It will be six months before they can move back in while the entire house is being redone on the inside. Niko will not go into the room he was in when the fire occurred.

From the story of Charlee.

Charlie was just a puppy. He somehow got of his backyard one day and was hit by a car. His family couldn’t afford the surgery, so they brought him to the Humane Society. The Humane Society did the necessary surgery, but unfortunately Charlee lost one of his legs. He now has a new home and they say having three legs doesn’t slow Charlee down one bit!

The Tale of Tank Told by Allisha

I was on the internet searching for pitbull puppies when I came across an ad about some for sale in Iowa MN. I called to see if they were still available and they were. So, one weekend we drove down to Iowa to go look at them and once we got there I fell in love with all 4 puppies that they had.

My boyfriend picked out the puppy that he wanted and I got to choose the puppy that I wanted, so in the end we came home with 2 puppies! One we named Duke and one we named Tank.

We had both of them for a couple of months and then we found out I was expecting another baby. So after discussing it we decided that it would be best if we brought the puppies to the Humane Society. It was the hardest thing I have ever done!!! Saying good-bye was the hardest thing.

A few weeks later I got a message from my friend saying that he was adopting Duke. I was so happy that my friend was adopting him. Then…we received a devastating phone call from the Humane Society saying that Tank was having a hard time around the veterinarians and they felt he was not adoptable. So they told us we could come back and get him or they were going to put him down. We went back and got him!

He is a wonderful dog and great with our 2 children. Our children can do anything to this sweet dog; they poke at him, pull his tail, climb all over him, bounce on him, they can grab at his bone while he is chewing on it and they can also grab at his food while he’s eating. He is also very protective of them and our family. He is a great watchdog.

We feel Tank is the best dog ever!!!

The tale of Casey told by Allison

One evening our neighbor called us over because she heard a strange sound near one of the sheds. It sounded like a meow. As it turned out, it WAS a meow!

Wordans

An adorable little gray tabby barn kitten had fallen through a hole in the attic and was trapped inside the wall! Dad used a special kind of saw to cut a circle out of the wall – just big enough for us to reach in and pick up the kitten.

Casey

We took her home for the night… and the next night… and the night after that. She was just so sweet, we finally decided to keep her. We named her Casey, which means “brave.”

Lifehack

Now she is almost grown-up, but still very sweet, and loves to sit on a lap or be with us wherever we are. Only her meow is the worse for wear – she has the funniest, squeakiest little voice I’ve ever heard.

The Tale of Theodore Told by Amelia

My sister had gotten a puppy named, Theodore, for her 9^th birthday. Almost two years later, Theodore went missing.

Dad had Theodore outside and turned away for a minute. When he looked back Theodore was gone. He called for him, but Theo never came.

My mom went to five houses a day asking if anyone had seen him, the newspaper put an ad in the paper for free, the police investigated every lead and phone call, we hung up almost 200 posters in the surrounding towns, and people we didn’t even know shared Theodore’s picture on Facebook. He was now missing for 17 days. We thought he was surely dead, a small dog like him couldn’t survive where we lived with all the owls and coyotes.

But then one day, my sister and I were at school when we heard that he had been found! Apparently, a lady 10 miles away from where we lived had been standing outside her house talking to her friend on the phone when a small dog ran down the road before her. She told her friend and her friend said that the dog was all over Facebook and lost signs were everywhere. The lady called Theodore’s name and he bolted inside her house. She dialed my father’s cell phone number and said that she had our dog. We had gotten fake calls that someone had our dog about two days before, but the lady described Theodore perfectly. Dad drove to the lady’s house and got Theodore back. He was really dirty, hungry, and terrified. It took him three days to act like himself again.

Now we keep a really close eye on Theodore whenever he’s outside!

The Tale of Cuddles Told by Amy

Amy and I discussed her sharing a tale about one of her cats. Since she had written a post about one of them recently, we decided I would just share her story by reblogging it here on my blog. This is a great post that includes pictures and a video. Love it!
