It’s Sunday, time to kick back, relax, and remember.
I wanted to dedicate this post to remembering those who have passed. Death is never easy for those left behind. When you lose someone close to you, you are never the same. I shared the poem below shortly after my sister passed away last year. I thought it was fitting to share it again now. Her birthday is next week, so I have been thinking a lot about her lately.

Even when it’s not someone you personally know, but the loss of a super star, it can be devastating. The following are pictures I took when I visited Paisley Park after Prince passed away last year (April 21st, 2017). It was so much more sparse than what it had been when the news first got out that he was gone. By the time I went most of it had blown away, the flowers had died, and so on.
The sadness is the same when we lose an animal. No doubt about it. Someone I know just lost their beloved Gracie. She is now in the loving arms of her creator.
Singer Sara Renner & I attended the same church for a while. She wrote and sang a song about her beloved cat after he passed away. It’s called “Beautiful Soul” and I have it for you below. It’s absolutely beautiful and moving. It captures the heart of all of us who have a furry family member. I hope you enjoy.
