The tale of Blue

This is the tale of Blue. She lived on the beach following people around begging for affection until one day somebody finally rescued her.

I am a big fan of stories about rescued animals and I have been finding out there a lot of them. This makes me really, really happy! The part that makes me sad is that it seems there were so many other people who just “left her.” We would never do that if we saw a child on the beach alone. Why is it “ok” to leave a dog, that apparently has no “pet parent”, by itself on the beach?

The tale of Lacy & Karma

What is the first thought that pops into your head when you see a Pitbull?

It’s not unreasonable that you might be a bit nervous and unsure around them given their reputation. You hear about them attacking people and other animals all of the time. There are all kinds of articles out there saying how dangerous they are, yet on the flip side there are articles that defend them.

Personally, I do not need an article to tell me what to think. I believe Pitbulls are taught by bad people to be dangerous. I hear stories about sweet Pitbulls that are beaten (and a lot worse) so they become mad & mean. Then they will fight for awful people in dog fighting rings.

What is wrong with people that watching two sweet, precious, living, feeling beings tear each other apart and to them it is entertainment?! (My rant for the day)

The tale of Pooh

After a day like today, where I saw posts about three people starving horses to death, a woman running a “rescue” organization for dogs only to find out she was flipping them, and a dog that looked extremely skinny and had barely any fur was tied up in a junkyard for years, reading a story like the one below gives me faith in humanity again.

In Bulgaria a woman found cat with inured legs. She brought him into a clinic where surgeon Vladislav Zlatinov decided to try an experimental surgery to help him walk again. They say so far so good. This cat, they named Pooh, is currently going through rehabilitation and preparing for adoption.

The tale of Jock

This Tuesday’s Tale is not about a dog or cat like they usually are. This is a tale about a bat.

A bat was spotted where I work by some children. Now, keep in mind it is winter and, although we have had unusually warm weather, they are supposed to be in hibernation. This bat was hanging around a bench outside.
