If you are checking out this site you are most likely an animal lover like me. Glad to meet ya!

I created this blog for one of my assignments while earning a Web Design Certificate. I noticed a lot of people were making blogs about shoes, tv shows, things like that. I wanted to make a more meaningful blog. My teacher encouraged me to keep the blog going because she thought my topics would be of interest to a lot of other people.

I didn’t get serious about blogging until very recently. I am sadly still in the “what am I going to do when I grow up” stage. Since I am not getting any younger, I decided it was time to do what has always been my passion-helping animals!

Although my intention for this blog was in helping other animal lovers decide where their heart is and to narrow down an organization(s) they can help, it has become so much more! It isn’t just about helping organizations who help animals. It’s about spreading the word, connecting with other animal lovers, and uniting to make a change.

I try to see things from the animal’s perspective and encourage others to do that as well. Animals are God’s creatures that we are to care for and not harm. They are living, feeling beings.

I realize some people have a hard time with reading about animal abuse, but I can not change where my heart lies …stopping animal abuse. I do, however, have more than just topics on animal abuse. I have a page on my cat-Cino, a pet care tips page, and a vegetarian recipe page. I am adding to these pages all of the time…so be sure to keep checking back. I also encourage you to be a part of my blog by sharing your animal stories, pictures, and favorite organizations with me for use on my blog (I always give credit where credit is due).

Way before this blog, there was a point in my life when I decided I didn’t want to just love animals but DO something for them as well. It absolutely breaks my heart that there are animals out there being mistreated and abused. It actually infuriates me! Instead of just sitting around being angry and sad about this, I decided to become involved.

It can be very overwhelming trying to figure out where to start. I read all of the letters I would get from animal organizations, I read online articles, watched videos, visited Humane Societies. I did it all! But I still was confused on how to help. I wanted to help EVERY animal and every animal organization, but that isn’t realistic.

I finally decided I had to choose first of all what type of animals; domestic or wild. I decided my primary focus would be on domestic. (This is no way means I do not get involved in helping other animals besides domestic, I certainly do!) So then, after researching many organizations, I made the decision to help no-kill organizations and others like the Animal Legal Defense Fund who are a group of animal lawyers helping defend abused animals and punish their abusers.

Supporting animal organizations is just one way I help animals. On my blog, I write about a wide variety of topics and types of animals, and I usually share links so you can check out the organization/topic being discussed.

There are many ways we can all help animals.  Donating items to shelters, writing letters, signing petitions, volunteering time at an animal organization, sharing my posts to spread the word, prayer, and much more!

Thank you for visiting! Let me know you were here. I am thrilled to connect with other animal lovers! We are the ones making the difference for them and changing the future!

    1. Animals Are Feeling Beings Too Post author

Thanks! My family worries about me sometimes because they see how upset and down I get at times (animal abuse issues), but as I tell them, I can’t turn my back. It definitely is my passion, and I feel, my calling. It’s about balance. Sometimes I do have to step back and focus on positive things, like the cute pet photos & stories I like to read about and share.
