The tale of Jock

This Tuesday’s Tale is not about a dog or cat like they usually are. This is a tale about a bat.

A bat was spotted where I work by some children. Now, keep in mind it is winter and, although we have had unusually warm weather, they are supposed to be in hibernation. This bat was hanging around a bench outside.

The tale of Waffle (& Lisa)

The Huffington Post

“The shelter said police had rescued this rat terrier from an abusive situation in Virginia. Most of his teeth were missing; he had a benign tumor, cataracts, and what was described as “an incompetent heart.” There were also scars on his cheek and jaw, and he couldn’t stop shaking. What does this have to do with me? Well, here I am another year older and I have been thinking a lot about my life, especially the last few years.

This week’s tale isn’t about just one animal,

I saw this article called “16 Amazing Animal Stories That Prove 2016 Wasn’t All Bad” on people.com. What really struck me about this article was that it was about people being compassionate. Take the guys below. A bachelor party in the woods turned into helping a mother dog and her puppies.

In Sickness and In Health

Today’s Tuesday Tale is about a few fellow bloggers who have had to deal with some illness with their pets and are in no way giving up on them.

It’s hard to explain to those who don’t have pets just how much love and joy they bring to a home, but also how much we worry when our animal companions are injured or unwell. Many of us consider our pets to be members of the family, and often it is the daily routines of feeding, petting, playing with them or even washing their bowls and litter trays that ground us in the here and now when other personal and global events seem overwhelming.
