Sunday Pause (Paws): Hooray!

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, grumble a little and rejoice a little.

I have had such a busy week at home and at work that I didn’t think I would be able to put much of a Sunday post together. But then I read a post that I feel took the thoughts right out of my mind and the words right out of my mouth about animals and felt it makes a perfect Sunday post.

Here is a quote from that post:

Study after study has demonstrated that we have egregiously underestimated the animals. Animals are now known to reason and make decisions, to plan for the future, to have strong personal relationships with friends and family, to make personal sacrifices for the good of other creatures, and to have unique personalities. They can be optimistic or pessimistic, and that can depend on their surroundings. In short, animals do all kinds of things we used to think were uniquely human. As Jonathan Balcomb puts it, they are not just alive, they have lives.
