To Bee Or Not To Bee…Stung

Hello all. I didn’t plan on writing a post tonight but a lot of the material I get is from my day to day life. So when this happened today, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to write about it in the form of a little story. Here goes…

“Once upon a time there were 23 school age children and 4 teachers that walked to a park for a class trip. The children decided to play hide & seek when all of a sudden one of the boys who was hiding in a bush came out running. He was getting stung by bees.

Soon all of the children and the teachers were running from a boat load of bees chasing them around at the park. Many of them are now getting stung.

They start heading back to the school walking through the streets of the neighborhood. Not surprisingly there were a lot of crying and upset children. (Can you imagine the neighborhood people seeing a large group of crying children and a few adults whaling their arms around walking by your house?)

When they get back to school they tell the others who run to get ice packs for all and it’s a while before all are calmed down.

When they counted how many were stung they found that out of the 23 children, 18 were stung, many more than once. Out of the 4 teachers, 2 were stung, and let’s just say one of the teachers had a hard time sitting for the rest of the day (everyone is ok).

The life of a teacher.”

You can’t make this stuff up.

I wasn’t there, I was one of the ones helping when they came back. Is it wrong that imagining this whole scene in your head is a little comical? (god bless the kids)

Glad you weren’t stung! Glad they’re all okay! Things can be a little funny after the trouble’s over if people are okay. 🙂

LOL! 🙂 I could imagine it as you told it! No, good humor! Hope all will heal quickly, and also, that the bees are okay. I hear they die after they sting someone? The first child must have stumbled upon a nest…..

Yes we assume he stumbled upon a nest. I forgot to add (I added it now) that they had to walk through the neighborhood to get back to school. That’s part of what’s funny. Can you imaging living in one of the houses they had to pass by and seeing all these people whaling their arms around and crying?

I would not like at all to be stu g, but I can’t begrudge the bees and wasps and hornets in Effieland right now. They presumably are pollinating our blackberries and grapes.
