It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and bake, bake, bake.
My two friends and I just had our third annual friends cookie making day. We have been friends since elementary school and we don’t see a lot of each other during the year so this is a really special time.
I like to try new recipes and this year not only did I try a new one but I made vegan cookies for the first time ever. You know I’m always thinking of animals! They were not easy to cut out so I settled for alot of mitten shapes. They aren’t the prettiest cookie either and a bit on the sweet side but still a decent cookie.
I love this pic I took of my friend’s cat in the tree. She is so much fun and always right there to “help.”
Wonderful friends, lots of yummy cookies, great food, conversation, and silliness. No to mention aches, forgetting if we put an ingredient in, feeling overtired, hot flashes….ah aging is fun.
Got home at 1:00 a.m. and didn’t get to bed until 2:00 a.m. But it’s worth it!
Happy Sunday!
Your day sounded like a great one, LeeAnn 😀
What about a recipe at those cookies?

You’re welcome. If you do make them let me know how it goes and if you like them. I thought they were kind of hard to work with and not that good. But not bad either. They taste sort of like a granola bar. It’s fun to try new recipes. 🙂

I will tell you, if I try them.

Sounds like a fun time. I wish I had the time to do some Christmas baking, but I’m moving at the end of the week, so I haven’t even done any decorating yet

Well you know I understand what you’re going through. I still have one room filled with boxes to unpack and no pictures hung yet. I hope your move goes smoothly.

Thanks. I hate moving, and especially when it was sprung on me out of the blue.

It does stink. Why was it just sprung on you?

I got a letter in late October that I thought was going to say how much rent would be for the coming year and instead it said they weren’t going to renew our lease. I called the office and they told me it was management’s decision, and that similar letters had gone out to 9 other people. Apparently they’re wanting to renovate our apartments, and we’re all having to move by the end of December. I looked around a bit for about a month and found a place where my brother (who’s my roommate) and I could move in by Christmas (I decided I’d rather be in by Christmas than rushing at the end of the month).

Ugh. That may have wound up happening to us eventually too. Was in apartment for 10 years and they were renovating as people were moving out. So it may have happened to me too. That would be hard when you’re forced. Glad you found a place.

I am, too. And it very well could’ve happened to you, too. I’ve been in this apartment for at least 10 years, as well.
