It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and enjoy the holidays!
It’s hard to believe tomorrow is already Christmas Eve. Time got away from me this year that I didn’t even send out Christmas cards. I have never done that before. Since it seems too late to send any out now I made one to post & share with all of my friends, family and with all of you. The picture of Cino & I is from a photo shoot a friend did months back. As you can see Cino LOVED it!
Things will be busy for the next few days for me as I am sure they will be for you. That’s why I am dedicating this Sunday’s post to wishing you a Merry Christmas. I hope you enjoy the photo and here is a poem I wrote. Continue reading →
It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and start the holiday season.
Christmas songs on the radio, stores are stocked with gift items, movies and specials are on tv, and peppermint mochas are available at your favorite coffee shop. The holiday season has officially begun. Are you ready for it?
I don’t get into the Christmas spirit until after Thanksgiving. One holiday at a time please. But after Thanksgiving then I am in it 100%! It really is my favorite time of the year!
The day after Thanksgiving is Black Friday…ugh. I want nothing to do with it. I would much rather stay home and put up my tree and stay out of the chaos. Cino loves when the tree goes up so she can play and sleep under the tree skirt.
It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and begin enjoying the festivities.
Christmas time truly is my favorite time of year. I made a ton of Christmas cookies with some friends, went to see the Nutcracker with family, spent an afternoon with my niece at a craft show, watched a bunch of corny Christmas movies (so predictable, but love them!), and have drank many cups of hot cocoa. But today, Christmas Eve, the actual holidays begin.
It is so easy to get caught up in all of the decorations and gifts that the real meaning for the season can be forgotten. Actually I read something recently that said something like “Jesus isn’t the reason for the season, he is the reason for your life.” In reflecting upon the reason we take this time out each year to celebrate Jesus’ birth, a Facebook friend of mine shared the following Christmas poem with me, and now I want to share it with you.

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and enjoy the season.
This time of year, the Christmas season, I spend most of my time shopping, decorating, and wrapping presents. All of it is preparation, then it comes and goes in what seems like a minute.
This year, I am trying to really enjoy the season by spending more time with loved ones. Last weekend I spent an entire day making Christmas cookies with a few long time friends. Yesterday I spent the day with my niece. We went to a craft show and out to eat. Today our family is going to see “The Nutcracker.” Great memories in the making. This is what it is all about.
It is good to remember that although there are many fun activities this time of year, the season is not about what we can get or can get out of it, but actually should be more-so what we can give. Maybe give an offering at church, volunteer at a homeless shelter, or donate money to an animal organization. There are many people and animals out there in need.
It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and enjoy some down time.
I did just that yesterday. Me and a couple of friends got together yesterday and spent the entire day baking cookies. I don’t know if you can actually call this “down time”, it’s a lot of work. But it’s the fun of not worrying about anything else but making delicious treats, having great conversation, a great meal, and a few laughs.
