Today is my birthday and it has been a great day!

I‘ve gotten many birthday wishes, gifs, a peanut butter pie, and even songs shared with me. The best was my niece sharing the “The Beatles Birthday Song” with me along with a memory of her mom playing that song for her and her brothers every year on their birthday. (Her mom is my sister that passed away unexpectedly almost two years ago). Continue reading
Eight years ago this little angel came into my life. She was so confused at the Humane Society when I was visiting her in the adoption room. Both of us unsure of one another. But then there was a look and a “meow” and that was all it took for me to make up my mind.
She spent many days hiding behind the toilet in her new home. Then one night I woke up to a cold wet nose. It was then that we became buddies, it was then that we became family.
It is my honor & pleasure to celebrate her today.

It’s been seven years since I adopted Cino, then called “Muffy.” She has come a long way since that first day of hiding behind the toilet as pictured above. They told me she was two years old when I adopted her, but I found out later that she was actually three. So today, she is ten years old! Continue reading

I thought I would pause for a thank you. Thank you for all the birthday wishes. It’s been fun celebrating with my favorite Olive Garden dish…Fettuccine Alfredo, some homemade carrot cake, and even a trip to the movie theater to see Beauty and the Beast.
