Sunday Pause (Paws): For Paws, Hooves, & Feet

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and come along with me to take a little closer look at a few of the animals I have featured in my banner.

Dana loves animals. Her family adopted Sarge when he was just a puppy and was a beloved family member for years. Here is Dana with him when she was 10 years old. Awww.

Meet “Silly Sarge”, the painting she did of him to honor his memory.

Dana always had an interest in art but wasn’t sure what to do with her passion until she was 40 years old and discovered painting.

In Dana’s own words: “I was taking classes to learn kitchen & bath design last year. I had to get a fancy computer to take these classes. I came home from school one day, and my computer slid out of my bag…crashing to the floor. Yikes!!! I had to bring it in to get it fixed. I was having design withdrawal…and my littlest asked me to draw with him. He wanted me to draw a squid. So I did. With crayon. I thought it might look better with paint…so I tried it. Then I painted a seahorse, a rooster, and so on…it just morphed from there! I had no idea until that moment that I loved to paint!”

She started painting a few animal pictures for some family & friends.

Meet “Riles Niles”, cousin Paula’s cat.

Lastly for today’s post is my very own “Sweet Potato Cino.” I have many nicknames for her and sweet potato is one of them. 🙂

Dana drew a sketch of Cino and I digitally painted it in. I have a version with glasses and one without. The point of the glasses is as hopefully my banner conveys…to see/view animals as the God created living beings that they are.

I hope you enjoyed a closer look
And a little meet and greet
As we take a little time out today
For paws, hooves, and feet

Your favorite beverage in a mug
With an adorable animal on it
Relax, kick back, & enjoy
And start sipping while you sit

I am doing a mug give away
Just leave a comment below
Which animal from the collage?
All you have to do is let me know

©Animals Are Feeling Beings Too

I wanted to add a little fun to your Sunday by doing a give away. All you have to do is leave a comment of which animal from the collage you would like to see on a mug. Anyone who leaves a comment will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win the mug. The drawing will end on Saturday, July 28th 2018. Because of possible time differences I will make a note on this post when time is over for entering the drawing.

(I know blogging/WordPress can be slower in the summer, so maybe there won’t be a lot of response to this. But hey for those who do…a better chance you’ll win! 🙂 )

Happy Sunday!

*Time has expired for entering the drawing.

I love what you do for animals, LeeAnn, and I love all of the animal drawings…Dana is SO talented! It’s so hard to choose just one of the animals, but let’s go with Peaceful Grace! Adorable!!

I’m so glad to hear that you think all of them are cute. I actually will have the entire crew available on one item in the future. I just thought I would see which animals individually people like. But I’m hearing between Facebook & here (and from my family & friends) that they like them all. That makes me so happy! 🙂

I’ve been hearing that with people who are commenting on Facebook too. It’s good to know that people like ALL the animals. A good learning experience for me and I thought it would just be fun to focus in on each animal and give them names, even if for just one post. 🙂
