Reaching Out To Say Hi

Wow, it has been a really long time since I have written a post. I am not sure how many of my followers or fellow bloggers are still out there but if you are, be sure to leave me a comment with a hello! That will help me know who is still around.

I‘m not even sure how this post will turn out. Sometimes you just have so much floating around in your head you don’t even know where to start. When it comes to animals, which is what my blog is about there is just so much heartbreak and disappointment out there, that sometimes I just have to take a break. I see the semi go by me with a bunch of pigs or cows and I can’t bear the thought of their fate. I hear another story about abandoned cats or dogs left on the side of the road or left tied to a tree and all I want to do is cry. I read about a person overdosing and also overdosing their dog and both being found unconscious, and I want to punish the human who did that to an innocent animal. Then there is the fact that there are so many people that don’t understand your heartbreak or anger about these things. But in your soul, you know this is all so wrong. That is what this blogging community is all about. Those of us who do have the compassion and empathy needed to make a difference for animals.

During my break from blogging, I have been exploring some of my other interests. I have been painting a lot and doing a little drawing. I do cartoon type art which is what I like best. I posted a few of them below.

The Real Super Heroes

I love animals! OK, no surprise. But I also love being creative and I can appreciate others creativity as well. I came across the image below and thought it was the coolest painting. This guy found such a creative way to honor the health care workers.

Once I saw this I knew I wanted to make a super hero image. Continue reading

Sunday Pause (Paws): Fun With Pics

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and let the artsy fartsy side come out.

Sometimes you just never know “what you want to be when you grow up.” I still really haven’t figured it out and I should be retiring in less than 20 years. A lot of my life I feel like I was just “surviving.” I always felt lost and unsure of myself. So I made some bad choices and went down the wrong path for a while. Basically I was just trying to pay the bills, fit in, and trying to be happy. But it was when I started paying attention to God that things started changing…I started changing. I’m still a “work in progress” and will be all of my days. No one is perfect. But I’m not just trying to survive anymore. I’m trying to “live”…really truly “live.” Because it isn’t just about what we “do” to pay the bills, it’s who we are and how we live.

I still haven’t figured out “what I want to be” to pay the bills but I have discovered that I enjoy being creative. My love for animals is nothing new. I have loved them all of my life and have always tried to advocate for them. With discovering that I like being creative I can take my love for animals and my love for creating and combine them. 🙂

This week I took a photo of Cino and started playing around with it and turning it into artwork.

It’s so fun playing with images
And turning them into artwork
Editing them on your own
Or using filters can be a perk

Dana loves animals. Her family adopted Sarge when he was just a puppy and was a beloved family member for years. Here is Dana with him when she was 10 years old. Awww.

Introducing The New Look

A new banner for Animals Are Feeling Beings Too has been in the making for about a year now. It has been a challenge coming up with the right combination for the whole look. It is at a point where I am comfortable publishing it and can say to you all the new blog look is here!

Sunday Pause (Paws): For Creativeness

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and maybe get creative.

This is something I like to do in my leisure time. I like creating artwork pieces from photos and trying different crafts. Have any of you ever done the wine & paint nights? I have gone to 2 classes. Here are my masterpieces.
