This Week’s Tuesday Tale Is Your Story

The tale of Domino told by Suze

When George and I were first married we made a sort of pact..when we adopted a pet it would be one that no one else wanted….an older dog or cat…maybe one with an illness. No baby animals for us. After all, everyone else seemed to want a cute little puppy or kitten. Those little guys had a chance at a home……..the older ones didn’t.

We both loved animals….we both had grown up with the same values, education…..music.

This song sums up how we felt, and still feel.

We only ever made one exception to our “older pet” rule. George was working a Nursing Home and someone had thrown a huge bag out of their truck as they rushed past the home in the middle of a night. George was outside taking a break and saw a bag being thrown………after the truck was gone he heard a sort of whimper and went to investigate.

Sunday Pause (Paws)

It’s Sunday! Christmas is only a few weeks away. Let’s not forget gifts for our pets this year, and if you do, maybe your pet will just take matters into their own paws like the dog in the video below.

Give him a break, it’s Christmas after all! I bet he’s off enjoying his bone and doing a little dance just like Snoopy.

Anyone and all are welcome and encouraged to share!

Please send them to animalsarefeelingbeingstoo@q.com along with your pet’s name.

Ignoring A Need Right In Front Of Us

What is going through your mind as you look at the picture above?

When I first saw this picture, I was heart broken. The old cliche “a picture says a thousand words” hit me right in the nose. Here is a man “buying” a new puppy for his child while a homeless, starving dog is laying right there on the street. It even looks like it is raining outside too.

There are a few thoughts that I feel can be taken from this picture.

Tender Moments Between a Man and His Dog

As the saying goes, “a picture says a thousand words!” Just looking at this photo speaks volumes about the incredible bond between John and Schoep.

Sunday Pause (Paws)

Here we are again…it’s Sunday!

Winter has arrived where I live. The weather has been strange though. We have had warmer than normal temperatures and a lot of rain. If it weren’t for these warmer temperatures, that rain would have been snow, a lot of snow!

We actually have gotten some snow, but it has all melted away. Much colder temps are expected for next week, so I’m sure the snow will be here to stay soon and for MANY months.

Whether you enjoy winter or not, I think you will still enjoy watching the animals in the video below loving it!

Your Child Not Acting the Way You Want…Drive Them Out to the Woods

Your Child Is Not Acting the Way You Would Like Them To. Would You Consider Driving Them Far Off Into the Woods and Leaving Them There?

*I ask you to please watch all of the videos to get a full understanding of the message I am trying to convey in this post. The longest one is the first one which is a little over 4 minutes, but worth the watch. The other two are less than two minutes long. So here we go…

You got married, had a baby, and oh what hopes and dreams you have for them. You enjoyed those precious years when they were young and still listened to you. Then, it happens…they become a teenager or a young adult. They no longer listen to you. Maybe they are hanging around the wrong crowd, or have an addiction, or got someone pregnant, or committed a crime. Maybe all you do is fight with them. They cause you so much frustration, money, time. So here you are, decision time. Do you stick with it and try to help them through this the best you can? They are, of course, a member of your family.

This Tuesday’s Tale is Your Story

The tale of Cuddles told by Amy

Amy and I discussed her sharing a tale about one of her cats. Since she had written a post about one of them recently, we decided I would just share her story by reblogging it here on my blog. This is a great post that includes pictures and a video. Love it!

Thank you Amy for sharing your story with me. I am SO happy Cuddles ran out of the barn that day for you guys to find. I wonder why he became aggressive after being so cuddly?

I also believe in brushing our pet’s teeth, so I would love to hear what kind of tool you use to get the tartar off of his teeth!

This tale was shared by Amy, a fellow blogger who participated in “Tuesday Tale-What Is Your Pet’s Tale?”. If you would like to participate, click the “Tuesday Tales” tab on my blog for details.

(The tale of Cuddles is also posted on the “November Tuesday Tale” page)

This video of Cuddles is something that happens every day.  You can hear from my voice a bit of exasperation because just as I have completely cleaned up in the kitchen for the morning (every morning), in walks Cuddles for more food.  *sigh*  And yes I know I recently posted a video of Cuddles and Rusty playing.  What can I tell you?  I have no control of what is going to happen especially with these cats.  At least in this video you will see another side to Cuds Cuds.  I do have several more videos that I plan on posting of other cats that live in this house too.  (smile)

Cuddles is persistent and consistent if nothing else.  When he wants to eat, nothing is going to get him to stop to do whatever it takes to get me to feed him.  He is a 12-year old male rescued barn…
