Taking Care

It’s been a while. Hope you’re all doing well!

We’re trying a new water fountain for Cino. We gave up on having one for a while because they kept breaking down or just not working well. We’ll see how this one is. This one is the Catit flower fountain. Anyone else have this?

Cino LOVES fountains and having one around has important health benefits.

Now, let’s talk weather. It’s been really, really cold here and this weather always makes me think of all the animals without proper care and shelter. So a reminder that if you see an animal being left out in the cold, be their voice and say something.

How’s the weather where you are?

I saw this image and felt it was perfect to share on my blog. I’ll end with this. It is exactly what I would do and what I believe we should all be doing…caring for all of God’s creatures.

Sunday Pause (Paws): Search For Joy In It All

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back and relax.

Winter has felt relentless so far this season. But through it all when you pause and look around you can see that it can actually be very beautiful. Seeing the beauty can bring joy to such a gloomy season.

The picture below is from right outside my door. Not so bad seeing that each day.

There are less animals out & about also (at least that we see). But every now & then you are fortunate to see one of God’s amazing creatures out frolicking. My friend took the picture below of the deer and I edited it. Continue reading

Snow, Cold, and Animals

It’s that time of year and we’re buried in snow again.

We actually had blizzard warnings. We have it all: snow, wind, and freezing temps.

Here is a little view out our window facing parking lot. The snow plow guy is out there hard at work clearing them. Continue reading

Sunday Pause (Paws): A Tale Of Caution

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back and relax.

The weather is changing where I live. Winter is here! I am really nervous about driving in it. I am used to driving only blocks to get to work and most other places. Now that we have moved I have a commute. Because of the weather and traffic I decided to get snow tires for the first time ever. I am hoping that will make a difference. The season has barely begun and there has already been treacherous driving conditions and many accidents. It made for an idea for a post today so I have a little rhyme for you. I hope you enjoy!

A WORD OF CAUTION

The alarm clock rings
The birds outside sing
You jump out of bed
Need to get everyone fed

No time to make a meal
Jump in car hands on wheel
McDonalds is on the way
Gotta get on with the day

Let me give you a word of caution
Things happen when you’re not careful & watching
And the crew is not ready for the disorder
From this kind of drive through food order

Sunday Pause (Paws): Breaking Records

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and break some records…

broke-records-aafbt

Not that kind of record, silly Cino
It’s about all of this endless snow
The most in February in history
It just won’t stop, it just won’t go

We’re already buried up to our chin
Mounds of white everywhere you turn
And yet a blizzard warning is out Continue reading

If You See It, Don’t Ignore It

With this week’s insanely cold temperatures I worried every day & night about any animals out there. I can’t stand the thought of a dog hooked to a chain, a bunny stuck in a cage, or cat being left outside to endure the temperatures when there is a warm house feet away. When people choose to leave their pets outside during these dangerous temperatures, let’s face it, the animal’s life is at stake.

If you see this…do something.

The New Year Is Here

Hope you had a great New Year’s Eve and Happy 2019!

It was a snowy and very windy night here. A perfect night for hot cocoa, a blanket, and snuggles with Cino. We stayed in and stayed warm & safe. What did you do?

Cheers to a blessed 2019 for you and your furiends.
