“Animals are Feelings Beings Too”
a poem by LeeAnn Johnston
God created all things, including animals
He said I will make man in my own image, my own likeness,
I will let them rule over all creatures, but
Man often misunderstands his words and are treating animals with unkindness
Rule over doesn’t mean to cause harm, but to keep order, to care for
Since man is made in God’s own image & likeness
Then man is not meant to rule with abuse
But with patience, love and kindness
Man needs food and water to live
Man needs shelter from cold, wind, and rain
Man bleeds when injured
Man feels joy when loved and sorrow when in pain
Animals need food and water to live
Animals need shelter from cold, wind, and rain
Animals bleed when injured
Animals feel joy when loved and sorrow when in pain
God said a righteous man cares for the needs of his animal
So to all fellow man I would like to say to you
Treat animals how God intended, how you would want to be treated
Because my fellow man, Animals are Feeling Beings Too!
