Sunday Pause (Paws): Gratitude & Joy

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and for me today I want to express my gratitude & joy.

I was thrilled to see that we just hit 500 blog followers.

What did you say?cino-what?2-aafbt
I said we just hit 500 followers!

Although the number of followers isn’t as important as the impact hopefully being made for animals…I am so, so grateful!

I think Cino wanted to thank you too! She never jumps up on the desk when I am working. But while I was creating this post she leaped up right in front of the computer and then found a spot to sit for a bit. 🙂

(I’m glad she’s hiding most of the mess on the desk. I do tend to have hand written notes everywhere!)

I wrote a poem to share a bit of my journey and to say thanks!

I spent my life trying to figure out
How to apply my passion to help
God’s little ones that are treated poorly
Many years ignoring how I felt

Then came a time when I knew
No longer could I sit by and let this go on
Too much pain being inflicted
Doing nothing would simply be wrong

I was given an assignment to create a blog
And that became a personal breakthrough
The light bulb went on and then came along
The beginning of “Animals Are Feeling Beings Too”

So far it’s taken a lot of time & dedication
And I’ve made some changes along the way
But I’m finding my place in advocacy
And am filled with lots of excitement today

To see the amount of followers growing
Gives me such great hope
Because advocacy can be so draining
But with you it is easier to cope

I am filled with so much gratitude & joy
Thank you for sharing this journey with me
Because to make a real change for animals
It takes you, it takes me…it takes WE

Even if you’re not celebrating reaching a certain amount of fellow bloggers, there is always something to bring you gratitude & joy if you stop to truly look around.

I know all of us bloggers work hard and take pride in them. Some do it for fun, some do it as a job, and some do it with a mission. Whatever the reason it is always nice to know we are reaching others who share our love of writing and the topics we are writing about.

Why do you blog? I would love to hear.

Happy Sunday!

Congratulations, LeeAnn! Love the poem! Someone dear to me advocates for animals too. Some things she has seen she doesn’t show me.

Congrats to you!! I will be honest, having two blogs is no picnic lol…………..but…I started my cat blog out of my passion for cats….that remains true today. I frankly don’t give a rat’s you-know-what about numbers and my not caring has benefited me well. It all falls into place.
