Sunday Pause (Paws): Just Be (and Thank You)

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and just be.

In the United States people are celebrating Memorial Day this weekend. My family was going to celebrate some birthdays but now it looks like we’ll be waiting until next weekend. So instead I think we’ll hang out, go for a walk, enjoy the beautiful weather, and take time to…just be.

What are your plans?

Whatever you’re celebrating, wherever you are
Be sure to relax and set your mind free
Set the busy schedule aside on this day
And give yourself time to just be, “JUST BE”

Happy Sunday!

*I wanted to add a note of thanks to all of you for the encouraging comments on last week’s post. Making these cartoon type images is very therapeutic for me. We all have hobbies and things we like to do with our extra time. For me it has almost always been writing and for the past six years I’ve added the interests of photography, editing, and making cartoon images. It’s my “thing.”

I kind of tease my mom because she is such a fickle person, especially when it comes to decorating. But now I see that maybe I am the pot calling the kettle black. I seem to go on kicks of taking pictures and making posts around them, or writing poetry and making posts around them, or making cartoon type images and making posts around them. Ha…I guess it keeps things interesting for me.

I just read a terrible FB post about someone who rescued a cat that went through some awful experiences. People were blowing meth and marijuana up his nose and would put him in the trunk of a car and then purposely drive recklessly so they could hear him get banged around from side to side. Thank God he is out of that situation.

The truth is when you are advocating for animals it can be very depressing and sometimes I need to take care of myself too. So if making cartoon type images (while still sending messages in favor of treatment of animals) is helping me cope at times, then that is what I know I need to do.

Thanks for sticking around. I love reading all of your posts too. Although it does seem like blogging has gone down some, unless I’m just missing your posts. Where I live the weather is getting nicer and I may be moving in the next few months so I know I will be getting busier. But I still plan to at least do the Sunday posts (hopefully). Maybe you are busier now too?

🐈🐾😊💙 so glad to hear your feeling more up!
As for the cat you mentioned…..I rescued a cat that had the same thing done to her. People think it’s funny and harmless.
It was hard teaching her trust and her brain wasn’t right, but with time and Lots of cuddling up and quiet moments, she ended up living a beautiful life!💙 she had such a firey temper, but ended up a loving, playful family member for 12 years! 😊 That little one you spoke of, God is going to heal her and give her/him a Wonderful life!👐🙏 No worries!
God is in control…even if we don’t see Him.🐈 Be Blessed🐾.

When you run across a situation like that cat – even just reading about it – you need to do anything you can to constructively get over dwelling on such things. Speaking from experience here !
