Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021

Well Jack certainly is expressing exactly how we all feel! I just LOVE this picture and it is so appropriate. Everyone is so excited and anxious to say goodbye to 2020.

I am not one who makes resolutions but if I were it would be more of a wish this year. A wish that we start letting go of the hatred. With that in mind, I wrote the following poem to say goodbye to 2020 and hello to 2021.

LET ALL OF THE HATRED BE DONE

There has been so much happening
It has all been so very maddening
I blame you, you blame me, we blame them
Rather than love, it’s been easier to condemn
Yes, this year has been a tough one
Everyone is surely glad to see it done
But when the mask comes off what will we see? Continue reading

Sunday Pause (Paws): For The Season

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back and relax.

But how much relaxing do we actually get during this time of year?!

Even with all the prep and work it is still my favorite time of year!

We wish you a blessed Christmas, however you may celebrate this year. πŸŽ„

Happy Sunday!

Sunday Pause (Paws): Labor Day Weekend

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back and relax.

Happy Labor Day weekend.

These days there isn’t much to do so a lot of people don’t have any real big plans for the weekend.

Me…I really don’t mind hanging out and just taking it easy.

Sunday Pause (Paws): Father’s Day During Quarantine

It’s Sunday and it’s Father’s Day!

We’re thinking of dad and a bit sad that we are not together with him this year due to the virus.

But we’re still celebrating here at AAFBT with a Happy Father’s Day wish to all of the dads, pet dads, and those who are celebrating with their dad. Continue reading

Sunday Pause (Paws): Celebrate Them Even If You Can’t Celebrate WITH Them

It’s Sunday! It’s Mother’s Day! πŸ’Time to let them know how much they mean to us.

This Mother’s Day is quite different for a lot of us though. We can’t actually celebrate with them. πŸ˜’

But…we can still celebrate them.

Pet moms…you’re not forgotten!

Sunday Pause (Paws): Celebrating Birthday At Home With Cino

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back and relax.

I‘m sorry I haven’t been around as much. I hope you will continue to check in for posts and continue following me. I assure you helping animals is where my heart and soul is. I just don’t have the time or motivation right now for regular posts. Once I finish getting my new home together and some upcoming projects I will post more. Do you follow me on Facebook? I post images with messages and other things a lot more regular. Please check me out there too.

Well I guess it has to get brought up….coronavirus. Are we tired of hearing about this!? But it is a very serious issue affecting all of us. My birthday was yesterday and my family had plans for me today but we had to cancel them. It is obviously much more important that we all stay healthy (and we can always reschedule the birthday celebration).

Some people were asking me what I was going to do at home for my birthday. I said I will be working on the office. They said “well that doesn’t sound like much fun at least have a glass of wine while you do it.” Someone else said “she doesn’t drink” followed by “you have to do something fun for yourself.” πŸ™‚

I get it. They wanted to make sure I had a good birthday. But having a relaxing day at home with Cino is actually a nice birthday! Any dent I can make in getting the office unpacked and cleaned out is also time well spent.

Here is to celebrating a birthday at home. me-birthday-with-cino-cartoon-2020

Happy Sunday! Take care of yourself and others during this crazy time. Prayers for good health for you all!

Sunday Pause (Paws): A Tale Of Caution

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back and relax.

The weather is changing where I live. Winter is here! I am really nervous about driving in it. I am used to driving only blocks to get to work and most other places. Now that we have moved I have a commute. Because of the weather and traffic I decided to get snow tires for the first time ever. I am hoping that will make a difference. The season has barely begun and there has already been treacherous driving conditions and many accidents. It made for an idea for a post today so I have a little rhyme for you. I hope you enjoy!

A WORD OF CAUTION

The alarm clock rings
The birds outside sing
You jump out of bed
Need to get everyone fed

No time to make a meal
Jump in car hands on wheel
McDonalds is on the way
Gotta get on with the day

Let me give you a word of caution
Things happen when you’re not careful & watching
And the crew is not ready for the disorder
From this kind of drive through food order
