Concern is growing in American society for the welfare, protection, and rights of animals. Protests have been mounted against killing animals for their fur, hunting animals for sport, and experimenting on animals in the laboratory. A powerful rational argument can be made for respecting animals much more than we currently do.

The word āchainā is in itself so negative. I think its acceptable if you put a dog on an extended leash, maybe one made out of small chains, that will keep them safe from running off if you donāt have a fenced in yard. If you have a fenced in yard, there should be no need. Continue reading

Our little poodle we had growing up was somehow down the street before we knew it many times. If you have a dog you also know getting them back becomes a game. There is a new APP available from the Animal Legal Defense Fund called “LiveSafe.” It’s a mobile APP that allows you to easily and quickly report crimes against animals. I was so excited to see this. You just download the APP, follow the instructions on the ALDF website (link below) and then select a tip type to report a crime, and attach a photo or video along with your detailed observation. Below is an image of what the main screen looks like.
