It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and sometimes that even means taking some breaks from blogging.
I‘ve mentioned that we’ve been looking for a new home and we now have found one! We are not officially moving for another 4 weeks but it has already kept us very busy running between two places, cleaning, setting up water, electricity….well I’m sure you know (etc., etc., etc.)

Because of this I may not always get my Sunday post in during the next month or so but I will try. They will probably be short & sweet like this one. Continue reading
It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and ask for help.
We all need to ask for help sometimes, but it isn’t an easy thing to do. I am going through a very trying time with purchasing a townhome. Through the process there have been ups & downs, highs & lows, and feeling like I’m going crazy. It’s still not over (help).
Even though I fall to my knees in tears at times and beg God to help when it doesn’t feel like he is, I really know he is. Maybe it’s me not listening to him.
This is the same for helping animals. Sometimes it feels like we’re getting nowhere, but we are. Sometimes we feel like God isn’t helping us with this, but he is.
I pray all the time for no more abuse
But then comes another horrible case
It brings me to tears and I feel helpless
So I ask for help in my quiet place
It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and let our imaginations run free.
Imagining is not just about make believe. It can also be about experiencing something that is yet to happen.
We can imagine while we’re driving to a restaurant a big juicy veggie burger (ha! gotcha there with the “veggie” part, didn’t I?). By imagining it we can see it, get excited about it, and even just about taste it.
If we have a speech to make we can imagine ourselves sweating in front of the group and forgetting most of the words.
If we are missing a lost loved one Continue reading
May is “Mental Health Month.” I do not have a diagnosed mental health condition, you may not either. But in today’s world it is hard to not get down in the dumps at times. Just today the news reported on yet another school shooting. It’s hard enough for us adults but children suffer too. I work around them and many of them are filled with anxiety, insecurity, and so many are experiencing trauma. This all leads to a lot of anger they don’t know what to do with and behavior issues. I keep hearing mental health problems are on the rise. My sister once said to me “I think EVERYONE would benefit from counseling.” She is probably right.
Some of us are very fortunate to have something very special to help us through hard times…our beloved pets. 🐶❤️🐱

Cino always makes me feel better. 🙂
WWJD became popular in the US in the 1990’s. It was all the rage among Christians. It stands for “What Would Jesus Do?”
This Easter weekend I was thinking about animals and WWJND…”What Would Jesus Not Do?”

Just one of the many things us humans are doing wrong. We are definitely a society in need of saving. Thank God he did just that! This is what Easter is all about.
Easter is almost here and sadly many people think a rabbit is a great gift for their child. They are not a thing that should be thought of as a gift or object to be given for a holiday.

Sadly most people don’t do the research to find out what is required to have a rabbit as a pet. They actually require A LOT of care to be happy and healthy. I am an animal advocate and I had no idea how much care they required until a friend of mine adopted one.
Because of the impulsiveness to get a rabbit on Easter people aren’t educated on the proper care care which leads to a lot of neglected, returned, or abandoned rabbits.

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and get off the merry-go-round.
Life can really feel like a merry-go-round sometimes. I wrote this short poem with that in mind.
MORE IMPORTANT THINGS
Why is it that we have such good intentions
But before we know it life takes over
We get lost in a culture that’s on high speed
It’s hard to live a life that is slower
In our night prayers and our brand new mornings
We feel refreshed and inspired
But the day turns into a balancing act
And at the end we are left so tired
Sometimes something breaks through the whirlwind
And we know we must jump off the merry-go-round
We are reminded that loved ones and relationships
These are the more important things that should be well-found

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and how about saying a prayer.
I made a new cartoon image of Cino. Since our goal with this blog is to advocate for animals I thought I would introduce the image with Cino in prayer.

That’s exactly what I want…no more abuse! Unfortunately, that may not happen in this Continue reading
It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day (maybe).
I personally don’t celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. I do, however, enjoy seeing the children where I work make leprechaun traps and go on a treasure hunt looking for them and their gold. 🙂
I decided to focus on the three leaf clover and what it is said to represent: faith, hope, & love.
