It’s Just An Animal

How many of you have come across someone who has said to you, “it’s just an animal!”? Well, I don’t know about you, but I can’t even express how frustrating this is to me.

A young blogger contacted me about a debate she is having with someone over the use of animals in entertainment. It sounds like their discussion has gotten heated and the last thing I know is that he said the following comment about elephants, “Their tusks are useful and men want to use them. They are just animals.” This was very upsetting for the blogger. Continue reading

This Tuesday’s Tale: Teachers

This Tuesday Tale is a little different. I would like to start off with a tale about Judith. Please watch the video below.

This month teachers are celebrated and shown appreciation for what they do for children. Some of you know that I work around children and today Chipotle Restaurant was offering “Buy One, Get One.” A deal only for teachers. I came home with a veggie burrito and a veggie salad. Mmm, mmm, good! Dinner taken care of. 🙂

I thought it might be fun to use a picture of a bag someone gave me for my birthday because it is so colorful. Also, I thought it might make it a little more challenging with all of the cat faces. You can choose to do the 35 piece puzzle Continue reading

Grieving

My neighbor told me a few days ago that her son passed away suddenly. He was only 36. A co-worker and her family had to make the heart-wrenching decision to “put their dog down” recently. Should both be allowed to grieve? Continue reading
