www.gohappiest.comI didn’t plan a post tonight, but I came across this article and I was thinking…really? It’s that surprising?
The article is about a security camera catching a man going over to a stray dog out in the cold and giving him some food & taking off his own jacket to lay over the dog. Wonderful! This is a truly compassionate man.
This is the heading to the article: Continue reading
Today was the appointment day and I would like to start this post with how God answered mine & your prayers.
I planned a different tale this week, but I would like to keep my cat, Cino, as the center of my focus right now. This past week has been a very hard one. If you read my last post, Sunday Pause (Paws): Prayers for Cino, you know what is going on. If you haven’t, please do. So this Tuesday’s Tale is about Cino & I, when we met and what is going on now.
It has been a while since I have written a poem. I write them occasionally, mostly for family & friends. I have had so many emotions running through me this past week, a poem just felt appropriate. So here goes… Continue reading
I have been a bit preoccupied this week, so please forgive me for not being very social in the blogging community lately.
I would like to start this post with some questions & thoughts about the relationship we have with our pets.
Your “baby.” Is the definition of this just two people (or animals) conceiving a child? What about when you adopt a child (or an animal)? Aren’t you now the parents of a baby (or animal), even though you didn’t give birth to them? What about your girlfriend, boyfriend, husband, or wife, do you sometimes refer to them as your “baby?” Continue reading
This is a tale about a little toy poodle.
There was a couple that had three small children and decided it was time to bring a furry friend into the family. So, one day they all took a drive. The children were told that mom was stopping to get some yarn.
Mom went inside to find a litter of puppies so energetic, so full of wiggles & wags. There was one puppy that caught her eye and she knew he was the one. Mom said the puppy actually picked her. (It seems our pets choose us in most cases, doesn’t it?)
She carried the puppy close to her, hidden, so the children would think it was a black ball of yarn. Surprise! The three children were so excited! They loved this dog so much, especially the youngest one and he soon became the mom’s baby, her “other child.” Continue reading
It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and have some fun.
I am a huge fan of word searches and I can usually find them pretty fast. I have to admit on this one I was searching for longer than usual. I was looking on my small phone screen, but now that I see it on my computer and I know where it is, it seems so obvious.
I hope you enjoy looking for the word “dog.” Let me know if you find it and how long it took you. 🙂
Happy Sunday!
Little ThingsMan has dominion over the animals, so we can treat them however we want, right? (Of course, that would be a “no”)
Whether someone believes in God or not, how about compassion & empathy?
My recent post, Why I Am A Vegetarian looks at how farm animals are treated today. I truly believe if people actually took the time to find out what is happening to animals before they become “meat in the supermarket” they would reconsider what they are eating.
We have a “head in the sand” society when it comes to animals. What we see is the “laughing cow” and “happy cow” type commercials for companies selling their products. What we don’t see is the cruelty going on to the animals to create those products. Continue reading

I saw the story of Pearl on another blog and I thought it was so incredible, I just had to share it. It seemed easiest to reblog it.
Thank you so much Lesley for letting me share this story. Pearl is absolutely beautiful and it crushes me to think about what she went through before she made her way to you. Looking at these beautiful photographs of her, I can see she is now in good hands.

This is exactly why we have to start young in teaching children empathy towards animals and why we all need to be the voice for animals.
I hope everyone enjoys visiting Lesley’s blog and reading the story of Pearl. 🙂
I am amazed at all of the stories I have been able to use so far for my “Tuesday Tales.” Most of them are “rescue” stories. This warms my heart so much to know that even though there is way too much abuse out there, there are great people, like you, saving them and taking them away from the abuse.
You can find more tales on the “Tuesday Tales” page of my blog. If you would like to participate by sharing a story about your pet, you will find the details there also.
It’s Sunday! Time to kick back & relax!
This Sunday I wanted to take a look at the human and animal bond. God created us both and it is my prayer that we live together with love and respect for one another.
I hope you enjoy looking through the images below showing exactly that!
