Sunday Pause (Paws): A Very Merry Christmas To You
It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and enjoy the holidays!
It’s hard to believe tomorrow is already Christmas Eve. Time got away from me this year that I didn’t even send out Christmas cards. I have never done that before. Since it seems too late to send any out now I made one to post & share with all of my friends, family and with all of you. The picture of Cino & I is from a photo shoot a friend did months back. As you can see Cino LOVED it!
Things will be busy for the next few days for me as I am sure they will be for you. That’s why I am dedicating this Sunday’s post to wishing you a Merry Christmas. I hope you enjoy the photo and here is a poem I wrote. Continue reading

Sunday Pause (Paws): Romp & Play In The Snow
It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and have some fun.
Brrr…baby it’s cold outside. But that doesn’t stop a lot of people (and animals) from still getting out there and having some fun.
Do you all really know
How fun it is to play in the snow?
Sure it is pretty cold
But the joy it brings never gets old
My friend’s dog, Bogey.
So I think I’ll spend my day
Outside where I can romp & play
A Happy Sunday I wish to you
I hope you go out and have some fun too

What Is Your Pet To You?
A pet is not “just” a pet. Oh no.
A pet is not just a pet
But one of the best friends you’ll ever get
Therapy when things are bringing you down
The ability to turn a frown around
Little angels that can help heal
It’s amazing how they make you feel
Your comforter, therapist, healer, friend, & baby
A pet is so many things including family
They are not “just” anything except “just an amazing creation and an amazing gift.”

Sunday Pause (Paws): Friendship
It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and be thankful for friends.
We all have our highs and our lows in life. If you read my post from last Sunday then you know I’m kind of at a low right now. But during this low I’ve been feeling love & support around me from some people that I didn’t even know cared. I don’t know where I’d be without them. I wrote the following poem as an outlet for what I’ve been going through and to express gratitude for the support.
WITH THE HELP OF YOUR FRIENDS
It’s an emotional journey
This thing called life
Sometimes filled with peace
And sometimes filled with strife
Chaos everywhere you turn
The world is not in a good place
Sometimes making it hard
To deal with challenges you face
Emotions are building up
You’ve kept them bottled up too long

Teaching By Example
I WOULD RATHER
The circus is in town
Everyone is going there
The kids would have a good time
But I would rather teach them to care
Tricks that are sure to amaze
Entertaining the crowd all night
It’s an event for the whole family
But I would rather teach them what’s right
Clowns with big feet & a red nose
Elephants, lions, tigers, & bears
It’s quite the variety show
But I would rather teach them what’s fair

You brought me into your home
From that place you set me free
We’ve been together for a while
But do you really know me?
I first saw you online
And then drove miles to adopt you
You convinced me you were the one
With that look and meow I knew
You keep me safe and fed

Minutes between my meals
