Isn’t she the sweetest pet picture you have ever seen? OK, so I am a little biased, as this is my cat, Cino! She is laying on her back and in the middle of falling asleep. (Sorry to have disturbed you Cino)

While I’m sure you could stare at Cino all day, I would like to open up the opportunity for you to share your pet pictures with me to use on my blog. 🙂
A lot of the pictures that I use on my blog posts are friends pet pictures. The one below is one of them.

Awww!
Here’s how it will work. Go to my Facebook Page and add a picture in a comment on the post “Your Animal Pics” along with your pet’s name.
Animals Are Feeling Beings Too Facebook Page
Here is the post
If you aren’t on Facebook, you can email them to me at:
animalsarefeelingbeingstoo@q.com
When I use your picture in a post, I will link the picture back to your blog, so please include your blog address in your comment or email.
That’s it! Then just watch for your picture in a post. If you are “Following” my blog you should see the post come up when it is used, either in your “Reader” or by email. If you aren’t “Following” my blog, then keep checking back or better yet, consider “Following.”
Thank you so much and I can’t wait to see your pictures!
Just a note: I may also use these pictures for my Pinterest Page as well.

You can accumulate many things: sick time & vacation time at work, wealth, frequent flyer miles, and of course, THINGS!!!

Some people are rich, some people are poor. Whether you have accumulated many THINGS in your life or not, ask yourself this…is it worth it?

I recently saw a segment on a news show (BTN11) called KidsSay: Can animals talk?
A conversation that might seem ordinary and cute, to me meant a whole lot more.
A few questions asked to children were:
Do animals talk?
They certainly do! Not in our language, but in their own. A cat meows, a dog barks, and a cow moos. To us its noise, to them it’s a conversation.
Animals also speak with body language. We have to take the time to try to understand what they are trying to tell us by the way they look, move, and sound.
Just one of the pins on my Pinterest Page. This dog is my cousin’s great dog, Molly. I try to use pictures of pets from people I know on all of my blog posts.
Please check out my Pinterest Page! Let me know if you are on Pinterest so I can check out your page as well!
Happy Pinning!
It started last night when I was going through the Newsfeed on Facebook and I saw a post headline and picture about a dog that was abused so badly they said he screamed like a human being when they were approaching him to rescue him. The police officer involved in rescuing him was so moved by this that he has made it his mission to go after the abusers. That is as far as I got. I couldn’t open the post and read it. I was already breaking down. It was the first thing I thought of when I woke up this morning and again I was breaking down.
Most of my posts on Facebook are shared from my blog entries and I know not all of my family & friends are stopping and reading them as they scroll through their Newsfeed. Some people cannot handle seeing or hearing about animal suffering. I am not judging, I get it. I can barely hold it together.
I‘ve seen other images & headlines of elephants on chains, a guy throwing a brick at a dog, a tore up dog from a dogfight. It just goes on and on. Then I start feeling like it is all so overwhelming and I start wondering how I can be making any difference? There are so many animals suffering and I want it all to stop. I wonder if one day this will completely break my spirit.

Our pets are our family, but if something ever happened to you, what would happen to your pet? This is something so easily overlooked, but being unprepared could be detrimental to your pet.
I saw a post on Facebook that led to this article: Bonded German Shepherd Pair Surrendered to Shelter After Owner Dies Placed On Death Row.

Breeders are treating animals like just another item that is manufactured. They are thought of as a “moneymaking machine.” These are LIVING creatures, not plastic, wood, or cotton that we can use to create necessities for us humans. There is no necessity for this. HAVEN’T WE GOT ENOUGH ANIMALS IN NEED OF A HOME?
Check out the following story about one happy ending for a dog that lived 12 years in a cage breeding year after year, terrified of humans.
Abused Dog Never Felt Love
The take away…next time you are looking for a new puppy, visit a shelter. There is no need to have a “specific” breed dog. Adopt, don’t shop!

This picture is heartbreaking!
Should you put a dog on a chain or not put a dog on a chain?
The word “chain” is in itself so negative. I think its acceptable if you put a dog on an extended leash, maybe one made out of small chains, that will keep them safe from running off if you don’t have a fenced in yard. If you have a fenced in yard, there should be no need. Continue reading

If you have a dog, there probably has been a time when they have slipped out the door or slipped through the fence. Our little poodle we had growing up was somehow down the street before we knew it many times. If you have a dog you also know getting them back becomes a game. They stand there sniffing around, looking over at you as you are approaching, and then as soon as you just about reach them, they take off! Continue reading
