Wishing you and your pets a safe Halloween!

Be sure to keep a close eye on your pets.
It’s Independence Day in the U.S. and for most that means celebrating with family & friends, having a BBQ, and setting off fireworks!
But did you know that many animals are terrified of fireworks? To them it’s like the apocalypse. Wildlife become disoriented, get killed from running & panic, and lose their homes & family because they can’t find their way back. Many pets face the same fate as wildlife if they are not watched closely. They just want to find whatever escape they can.

Some things you can do to help your pets during fireworks are…
I hope you and your pets have a safe & enjoyable holiday!

Hello all!
I was able to sneak a picture of Cino with a Santa hat on while she was beginning to fall asleep. She is so cozy, comfy, and at peace which is what I pray for all animals this Christmas Eve night!

Merry Christmas Eve to all and to all a good (and peaceful) night!!
It’s Sunday and in the U.S. it’s a holiday!
Let’s face it we all love a holiday as this means time off work and a time to celebrate. But let’s take a look at how we celebrate. We spend time with family & friends, enjoy a meal together, maybe go to the lake or a park, play some games, have a few drinks, and when night falls light off fireworks. But did you know the incredible about of harm fireworks cause? I didn’t.
Growing up I always really enjoyed celebrating the 4th of July and one of the most exciting parts of the celebration was the fireworks. We would sit on the garage roof and have a perfect view of our neighborhood display. As we got older we would go to parks to watch them. They are definitely beautiful to watch and as they would go off my dad would always let out a big vocal “Ooooohh!!!” “Ahhhhhh!!!” Then we would all start doing it just to be silly.
It wasn’t until I researched it that I found out all of the harm fireworks actually cause. Continue reading
Hello all. Happy Sunday! This one is a lot more relaxing for me than last Sunday. I ran into all kinds of computer/software issues and never got to post what I had planned. I will be saving that post for another day. I am still having some trouble with where it all started…iMovie. I keep trying to update it but I don’t think it actually is. I don’t even necessarily care if it updates, I just want it to work and it wasn’t. I could create a movie but then when I would play it back it would be a blank black screen. It seems that this is a common problem many people have. One of the recommended solutions was updating it, which again, is where all of my troubles began. Maybe the next thing to try is uninstalling and reinstalling. I hate doing that because it seems like everything takes an eternity to download, update, install, etc., on an iMac. Another day maybe. For today I wanted to go ahead and take a break from that and share some pics I got on our family day. We celebrated Father’s Day (and a couple of belated birthdays).
We visited a wildlife sanctuary and it was a beautiful day to walk around and look at these magnificent animals. The elk were enjoying the weather too.

When we were directly in the sun it would get a bit warm so it was pretty tempting to want to join these guys in the water. 🙂

I was having a great time talking with the bison. Continue reading
It’s Sunday! Time to kick back & relax. It is so nice to kick back with the scent of a nice candle but have you ever thought about how it affects our pets?
I have been working on replacing my candles since learning about how paraffin wax is not as healthy as a natural wax such as soy. It isn’t just unhealthy for us, it is also unhealthy for our pets.
I just recently got a new wax warmer from a Scentsy party my niece had. I absolutely LOVE the garden warmer.

I needed to get some wax melts for it and was researching online where I could get soy/natural ones. In the process of researching I read some information on scents that cats love & hate. Oh dear, now I had to worry about what scent I was getting too.

Well Jack certainly is expressing exactly how we all feel! I just LOVE this picture and it is so appropriate. Everyone is so excited and anxious to say goodbye to 2020.
I am not one who makes resolutions but if I were it would be more of a wish this year. A wish that we start letting go of the hatred. With that in mind, I wrote the following poem to say goodbye to 2020 and hello to 2021.
LET ALL OF THE HATRED BE DONE
There has been so much happening
It has all been so very maddening
I blame you, you blame me, we blame them
Rather than love, it’s been easier to condemn
Yes, this year has been a tough one
Everyone is surely glad to see it done
But when the mask comes off what will we see? Continue reading
It’s Sunday! Time to kick back and relax.
But how much relaxing do we actually get during this time of year?!
Even with all the prep and work it is still my favorite time of year!
We wish you a blessed Christmas, however you may celebrate this year. 🎄
Happy Sunday!
