Do You Talk To Your Pet?

https://i0.wp.com/www.holidogtimes.com/fr/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2016/10/chien-confident-1.jpgThe HoliDog Times

How many of you talk to your pet?

Not too long ago someone told me that they were talking to their dog and that someone else said “you know it’s just a dog.” “Just a dog”, oh how I hate hearing that. I feel it is devaluing an animal’s worth. Another time I overheard two people making fun of people saying “goodbye” to their cats. Continue reading

This Sunday’s post is a guest post from the blog idealizeblog. The YouTube videos and all of the words in the italicized section are part of the guest post.

Sunday Pause (Paws): Birthday Fun

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back & relax!

I thought I would pause for a thank you. Thank you for all the birthday wishes. It’s been fun celebrating with my favorite Olive Garden dish…Fettuccine Alfredo, some homemade carrot cake, and even a trip to the movie theater to see Beauty and the Beast.

This Tuesday Tale: It’s My Birthday

Today is my birthday so I thought I would do a little bit different kind of tale, a tale about me. This will be my first “Tuesday Tale” about a human. But hey, as I always say, we humans and animals are all living, feeling beings…so why not?!

At church this past Sunday, the sermon was about fear. In this sermon and the one before the topic of being frozen in life was spoken about. When you’re fearful, you become frozen. They go hand in hand.

What does this have to do with me? Well, here I am another year older and I have been thinking a lot about my life, especially the last few years. Continue reading

The tale of Waffle (& Lisa)

The Huffington Post

I found this story and it brought tears to my eyes. Here is a paragraph from it.

“The shelter said police had rescued this rat terrier from an abusive situation in Virginia. Most of his teeth were missing; he had a benign tumor, cataracts, and what was described as “an incompetent heart.” There were also scars on his cheek and jaw, and he couldn’t stop shaking. As my daughter put it, “That dog is a scaredy-cat.” We kept walking. I kept circling back. I mean, Harrison Ford has a scar on his face, and who doesn’t love Harrison Ford?”
