It’s Sunday! Time to kick back and relax.
Activities are always fun when hanging out. Let me know if you found the five cats, Cino, and me.

Happy Sunday!

I love animals! OK, no surprise. But I also love being creative and I can appreciate others creativity as well. I came across the image below and thought it was the coolest painting. This guy found such a creative way to honor the health care workers.

Once I saw this I knew I wanted to make a super hero image. Continue reading
It’s Sunday! Time to kick back & relax. For me it’s time to pause and celebrate. It’s Cino’s birthday! Well, actually it was yesterday.

Every life is worth celebrating because every life matters. 🥳
We wish you a Happy Sunday!
It’s Sunday! It’s Mother’s Day! 💐Time to let them know how much they mean to us.
This Mother’s Day is quite different for a lot of us though. We can’t actually celebrate with them. 😒
But…we can still celebrate them.
Pet moms…you’re not forgotten!

Happy Sunday! Happy Mother’s Day!
It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and that means…push the pause button.
My sister’s birthday was this past week which got me thinking about her. She passed away a few years ago at the young age of 53. It was quite unexpected. I wrote the following poem shortly after that. It seems kind of fitting for what we’re all going through right now since the main message is about stopping and slowing down. It really is hard though, isn’t it? But it’s in times like these that we can be forced to.
THE WORLD DOESN’T STOP
The world is so busy
The world is so fast
Treating life like a race
How quickly time is passed
Then one day comes
When you receive a call

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back & relax. Me…I’ve been taking a pause to think about, SURPRISE, animals!
Seriously though, during times like these I sometimes wonder…what do others think of me because I’m worried about animals during a human crisis? People are dying, losing their jobs, social distancing, etc. I wonder if they are thinking who cares about animals?
But this affects animals too. People are dumping their pets or giving them up because they lost their job and can’t provide for them any longer. Or some are worried they will catch the virus from them.
Factory farm animals…well let me start off by saying I really do not like them. The fact that they are called a “factory” farm in itself shows no living being should be subjected to a life there. I just read about a bunch of chickens that were loaded up, gassed, and then Continue reading
Happy Earth Day!

We at AAFBT have the earth in our hands with a mission to change how the world views animals which helps better the entire earth and all the living beings on it that we were all entrusted to care for.

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, & breathe.
Cino was so enjoying the open window. She was just sniffing and breathing in the fresh air. Watching her really brought me joy. From that, the picture, and what is going on in our world currently, I wrote a poem.

One day we woke up
The whole world had changed
Our normal daily life
Has been completely rearranged
Businesses closing down
Celebrations put to a halt
Looking for someone to blame
Some say God is the one at fault
Many have lost their job
For others a loved one was taken
Emotions running rampant
There are many hearts aching
We’re meant to be together
Now we’re kept at a distance
Things feeling so surreal
It’s a whole new existence
For company and comfort
Many are turning to their pet
With the chaos around us
They can help us forget
Hardly any places to go
Stuck inside looking out the door
With the rat race put on hold
We’re reminded to…just…breathe…more.

So fortunate to share our days with these precious beings we call “pets.”

This too shall pass.
