Sunday Pause (Paws): For New Surroundings

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and for us…take in new surroundings.

The move went fine but there is still so much to do and get used to. It is always very strange when in a new home. I am having trouble sleeping and getting into a groove around here. Cino is too. She spent the first couple days hiding but is now wandering around most of the new place. But I can tell she is uneasy and confused.

We now have a stairway and she spends alot of time going up and down the steps and meowing. I’m not sure if she’s having fun or stressed. I don’t think she’s ever experienced steps before. New surroundings, new adventure.

Sunday Pause (Paws): R.E.S.T.

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and R.E.S.T.

Kick back, relax, and rest. They all mean the same thing…take a pause. With the purchase of the new home I have been going, going, going. Between meeting with the plumber, a carpenter, picking out curtains, shopping for toilets, trying to pack etc., etc., etc.,…I for one know I need a pause!

I will be joining Cino for sure on this long weekend!

Happy Sunday!

Sunday Pause (Paws): Seeing More Clearly

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and put on those glasses.

Sometimes we just don’t SEE
Things around us very clearly
We should try a different angle
And just let our feet dangle
Put on a pair of glasses too
We’ll get a much better view

How we SEE things around us is what we limit ourselves to. Sometimes we need to see things from another perspective. Sometimes we need another view.

Happy Sunday!

Sunday Pause (Paws): Play!

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and play!

Life can be hard, can’t it? If it weren’t for some “play” time we would probably all go crazy.

I‘m not one who goes out a lot or is super social. But that doesn’t mean I don’t like to have fun or take any time to “play.” I work around children and I have a cat…I get play time. 🙂

The picture below is Cino playing and guarding her fuzzy felt ball with another one of her favorite toys “mousey” next to her while she lays and plays on our tree skirt. Yes we leave the tree skirt out all year long because Cino loves it so much! (I turned the picture into art)

I was awake at the crack of dawn
Another week has come and gone
Today is my favorite day…Sunday
I’m ready to go, I’m ready to play

How about you? What do you like to do when you take some time to “play”?

Happy Sunday!

Sunday Pause (Paws): A Little Hello

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and wish all the dads a Happy Father’s Day.

A little hello from me to you
Mom is so busy, it’s true
Looking for a new home for us
There is so much to read & discuss

Sunday Pause (Paws): Fun With New

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and enjoy new things.

Isn’t it fun when you get something new? New furniture, a new haircut, a new car, etc. It’s even more fun when it’s something you can play around with.

I just got a new phone and I’m spending WAY too much timing playing around with it to get to know all of the things it can do.

I‘m especially excited about the camera. Here are a few of the very first photos I took with it.

We were taking a little walk in an area we love going to that’s by a river. We were shocked when we saw how flooded the usually beautiful walking and sitting area was. The water came way up into where the picnic tables and benches are. Notice the geese lying on the picnic table relaxing and catching some sun. It’s not bothering them. 🙂
