Sunday Pause (Paws): Thoughts On Speaking Up

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back and relax.

Relaxing sometimes means more thinking. One thing I think about often during these trying times our world has been going through this past year is animals.

I‘m not sure why I remembered something from years ago but it is what prompted this post. I was visiting a friend who has children and a dog & cat. While I was there one of the children and the cat came into the room. The child was kind of picking at/pestering the cat and so the cat scratched the child. The child was of course upset by that and then swung his leg very hard and kicked the cat. I did a loud shocked noise and said “don’t kick your cat!” My friend told her child to stop but then looked at me and said “well the cat shouldn’t have scratched him.” I was appalled.

Being who I am and how I feel about animals I knew I had to speak up. Continue reading

Sunday Pause (Paws): Let The Word Search Begin

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back and relax.

One of the things I have always found very relaxing and enjoyable is a Word Search puzzle. I am pretty good and can get them done pretty quickly. There have even been times when myself and someone else competed to see who could find all the words first. I think I won every time. 🙂

Well I created my very first Word Search and I am sharing it today. It is not an online interactive one except for you may be able to do so with the PDF version. I have a link for that below. Otherwise you will need to print it out or save the image and use a drawing app or something. I suppose there is always the option of just finding the words while having the puzzle open on your screen and just not marking them.

Since this is my first puzzle I would really appreciate Continue reading

It’s Sunday and it’s Father’s Day!

We’re thinking of dad and a bit sad that we are not together with him this year due to the virus.

Sunday Pause (Paws): Into The New Year

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back and relax!

Here we are into the New Year. We had a mellow New Year’s Eve and just snuggled on the couch. New Year’s Day we went to see the movie “A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood.” What a great example Mr. Rogers was for all of us. He really tuned in and listened to others, validated feelings, saw that everyone matters, and was very kind. His kindness extended to non-humans as well. He was a vegetarian who said he could never eat something that was walking around or that has a mother. This movie was an encouraging way to start off the New Year!

When Cino and I were talking resolutions this is the look I got.

Sunday Pause (Paws): So Cute

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back and relax!

I am sharing a video from a few years ago. The video has pics of pets from family, friends, and followers. They’re so cute they’re worth sharing again. 😊

Happy Sunday!

Sunday Pause (Paws): Beauty, It’s All Around

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back and relax.

Things are so busy for me with the move and I can tell will be for a while. But where I live the last few days we’ve had beautiful weather and I made sure I took time to sit back and enjoy it.

I stopped unpacking and organizing around 6:00 last night so I could sit down, look out the window and enjoy having the windows open, write this post and watch “Jurassic World.” I do not like horror movies or Godzilla type movies but there is something about Jurassic movies I do like. Except, of course, the parts where the dinosaurs are chasing after a pig or when a goat is tied up waiting to be their dinner. 😦

The picture art below is of the beautiful tree right outside my window.
