Sunday Pause (Paws): Down Time

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and enjoy some down time.

I did just that yesterday. Me and a couple of friends got together yesterday and spent the entire day baking cookies. I don’t know if you can actually call this “down time”, it’s a lot of work. But it’s the fun of not worrying about anything else but making delicious treats, having great conversation, a great meal, and a few laughs.

I am posting today’s post later this morning than I usually do because Continue reading

Sunday Pause (Paws): Waiting

It’s  Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and wait.

Wait for what? Well Cino is waiting under the tree for Santa Paws. 🙂

Version 3

I read something recently that went something like this: Don’t live for the weekend, but live each day at its best. Good advice for all of us whether waiting for the weekend, waiting for Christmas, or even waiting for something scary like results. We can enjoy each day and all it can bring if we allow it. I’m Not An Object

A picture says a thousand words.”

OK, so the picture below doesn’t have a thousand words and I put the words on it. But it’s the message of that saying above that I am trying to convey in this picture.

It’s only 25 words, but those 25 words say it all!

Pass on the 25 word message this holiday season and let’s save some animals.

Sunday Pause (Paws): Fun & Games

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and have some fun!

Now that Thanksgiving is over the Christmas season has begun! I put my Christmas tree up and am officially in the spirit. (I gave a different look to the picture giving it kind of a frosty covering. Just having more fun playing with photos). Almost every ornament on my tree has a memory attached to it.

Sunday Pause (Paws): Thankfulness

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back and relax!

With Thanksgiving only days away, this is a good time to push the pause button and think about what we are grateful for.

The picture above is a project an old co-worker of mine did with her family this year and hung on her wall. I thought it was such a great idea I had to share it! Continue reading

Sunday Pause (Paws): Cozy Up

Halloween And Our Pets

mya-head-relaxing-for-post-with-quote

How is the image above with the quote related to Halloween? It is because, unfortunately, there are a lot of people who like to hurt animals. On this night when there are a lot of pranksters out, your pet can become the victim of their pranks and trouble-making, which sometimes even results in killing animals. Continue reading

Helping A Lost Pet

While driving , if you saw a dog or a cat wandering around alone, would you stop to help it? It is surprising how many people don’t.

A couple of my co-workers saw a puppy last night running in a very busy road. They said everyone was just driving by and no-one was even slowing down for the pup. Thank God for my co-worker’s compassion! They did stop and scooped him up and out of danger.

I‘ll never understand how anyone can see another living creature in danger, whether it be from traffic, starvation, other animals, weather, and even danger of other people, and not help it. It is one thing when it is wildlife running around (but still if they seem to be in danger, you should try to help), it is another thing if it is an animal such as a dog or cat. Obviously, these are domesticated animals and most likely someone’s lost pet.

World Animal Day…Beautiful

Did you know today is “World Animal Day?” I just heard the name and that’s all it took for me to know I would love this day. Here is the description of the mission of this day from Wikipedia:

“The mission of World Animal Day, according to the official World Animal Day website is “To raise the status of animals in order to improve welfare standards around the globe. Building the celebration of World Animal Day unites the animal welfare movement, mobilising it into a global force to make the world a better place for all animals. It’s celebrated in different ways in every country, irrespective of nationality, religion, faith or political ideology. Through increased awareness and education we can create a world where animals are always recognised as sentient beings and full regard is always paid to their welfare.”

Love it!

A Spotlight On Pets

Hello! I have two adorable photos for two things going on this week.

First, it’s National Dog Week. A big THANK YOU to all of the furry babies who are so loyal and who are always there for us.

The cutie pie below is Bogey (photo taken by Tammy Taylor and edited by me).
