Working around children I’m lucky to get some great pictures every now & then.
An officer visited the little ones and their faces were beaming. They love the uniform, seeing the car lights, and hearing the siren. It was so fun to listen to them talk to him and ask questions. They even had a discussion about how if they lost their dog the police will help find them and bring them home.

Just so sweet! We need to see more positive things like this in our world.
It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and…be kind.

We’re not suppose to put on our Sunday best, clothing & attitude, only on Sundays. Kindness should be in the daily things.
I recently received this message from someone at work congratulating me on 14 years there. Continue reading
I told myself I wasn’t going to sit at the computer tonight and that I was going to just lie under the covers and rest. I tried.
Oh deer, I’m wiped out.

I haven’t been feeling good for a number of days now, I hardly slept last night due to a severe thunderstorm, and work has been really crazy busy. I came home from work early and planned to lie on the couch under my blanket and take a nap but no luck. I did rest for a long time on the couch and even had a hot cup of tea. But I started getting bored & restless. So here I am. Continue reading
Things are a-changin!
We’re in that in between time where summer is ending and fall is approaching. I’m noticing a small amount of leaves turning. But with the rain we are getting today those leaves are already falling off the trees and onto the ground.

I don’t mind this weather at all! I will be spending the night under a blanket on the couch with some tea and an apple candle burning. Ahhh…the small things can be so comforting.
What’s the weather like where you are?
It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and hopefully enjoy taking a little time to read a poem I wrote. It’s a conversation between Cino & I.
THE CONVERSATION
You brought me into your home
From that place you set me free
We’ve been together for a while
But do you really know me?
I first saw you online
And then drove miles to adopt you
You convinced me you were the one
With that look and meow I knew
You keep me safe and fed
Even though sometimes you make me wait
Minutes between my meals
Uh hem…I need to set you straight
I love it when you decide
It’s time for you to eat
Your persistent meows and stares
Until you get that treat Continue reading
As a blogger, do you ever feel like there just isn’t much to write about? Of course I am just talking about certain times, not all of the time. This is me lately. I know it’s just a temporary “writer’s block.” Sometimes I have tons to write about that I have to keep a list.
I don’t want to force myself to create a post if I don’t really have anything to say because then I just don’t feel it will be a very good one. This is one of the reasons why I stopped doing “Tuesday Tales.” I have kept “Sunday Pause (Paws)” though because it gives me an opportunity once a week to write a more positive, happy post (at least most of them are). But I do have a hard time coming up with something for those too at times.
There are times when I feel more inspired to create an image than to write about something. But then sometimes the image says it all like this one that I created.
It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and enjoy being home.
After a week of unexpected fees, upset clients, and news stories about animal abuse cases, I was so ready for the weekend. I was thinking of writing a post or a poem to express myself, which you know I do, but I decided to stay on the lighter side and make a little comic about the reality of our society.
I can’t even bring myself to read the full story about the dogs & roosters rescued from a place in Wisconsin. I read the dogs had wounds & scars and the roosters were surgically altered for fighting. That was all I could handle and I can barely handle that.
We’re starting off “Happy Cat Month” with some R & R.

Happy Labor Day!
Love from Cino & I
