I hope you were able to see the pets remembered in my Sunday post Sunday Pause (Paws): Honoring Lost Pets. If not, please check it out and if you would like to share a picture of a pet that has passed, please send it to animalsarefeelingbeingstoo@q.com or attach to my Facebook Post.

Today’s tale is continuing with the theme of honoring a pet that has passed away. This tale is about Lal Mohan who passed away at only two years old from a snake bite. Continue reading

Sunday Pause (Paws): Honoring Lost Pets

It’s Sunday!

Today I would like to honor some pets that have passed away. I have gathered some photos from Facebook submissions, fellow bloggers, friends, and family. All lives matter and losing a pet can be devastating. So this Memorial Day weekend, please sit back, relax, and enjoy the photos and videos of precious lives that are now in the arms of their creator.

I wrote a poem to start off this post. I hope you enjoy.

A pet is not just an animal
But a part of the family
Time shared with them
Seems to go by so rapidly

A bond so strong
Between human and animal
A life shared together
Makes loss hard to handle

There is no timeline for grief
Our pets are not forgotten
But in one’s own time
The pain may soften

Prayers for Odin

Odin 1-sizechange

I hope you were able to read this week’s “Tuesday Tale” about Irene’s dog Odin. Odin has been getting a lot of nose bleeds lately. They thought it was an infection so he has been on medication to treat it. But the nose bleeds haven’t stopped. So they tested him for possible genetic illnesses, and now, they will be doing a brain scan. Continue reading

The Tale of Odin as Told by Irene

Odin 3-sizechange

Odin is usually a happy boy at 4 years old. He loves our long walks in nature, where he can run free without his leash. He was early taught not to hunt, so when he meets a rabbit, he just stands quiet and lifts one paw. Then I tell him, that the rabbit lives here, just go on straight and he listens. This is so well acted of him, which gives himself more freedom, while we are out in nature. Continue reading

Rainy Day, Cozy Day

It’s raining cats & dogs.

What does that even mean? I looked it up and found from different sources pretty much the same thing. There is a theory (some say is not true) that a LONG time ago Continue reading

The Tale of Cino, My Blessing & Best Friend

cino-welcome-home

It’s been seven years since I adopted Cino, then called “Muffy.” She has come a long way since that first day of hiding behind the toilet as pictured above. They told me she was two years old when I adopted her, but I found out later that she was actually three. So today, she is ten years old! Continue reading

Thunder, Lightning, Rain…Oh My!

under-covers

A thunderstorm is brewing in my area and should be here soon. I anticipate Cino will be hiding as she usually does.

I wrote a similar post about this last year when I first started blogging regularly. I had read an article that gave a few tips on helping your pet during a storm. Since its that time of year again, I feel its worth repeating.

Wanna Share a Picture for Tomorrow’s Post?

Hello all. Things have been pretty busy, so I haven’t been posting as much. If you have been following me for a while you probably know that I do a “Tuesday Tale” and a “Sunday Pause (Paws)” every week. I just don’t always get to posts in between. I have some great things going on though. Continue reading
